  • Presentations from the 21st Annual Technical Meeting of the consortium. July 29 - August 1, 2007.
  • Dr. Prasanta Dutta of West Virginia university was selected as one of the "Rising Star Lecturer" in IEEE Magnetism in Nanotechnology Conference held at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Maryland, for his talk "Superparamagnetism and blocking in thiol-capped gold nanoparticles".
  • At the 4th Annual Southeastern Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Technology Conference, Dr. Gerald P. Huffman was awarded the  FuelCellSouth 2007 Crystal Flame Innovation Award in ResearchFuelCellSouth is organization of universities, companies, and national labs in the southern USA that is promoting the development of the hydrogen economy
  • In celebration of the completion of the 20th volume of Energy & Fuels, an American Chemical Society (ACS) journal, a list of the 20 Most-Cited Articles from Energy & Fuels over the past 20 years was announced.  Peer reviewed articles by the authors from CFFS are ranked 1 and 6 in that list.
  •  Ronald J. Pugmire, professor of chemical engineering and adjunct professor of chemistry at the University of Utah, is the 2007 recipient of the Henry H. Storch Award, sponsored by the ACS Division of Fuel Chemistry and by Elsevier.  The award is given annually to an individual who has made outstanding contributions to research in the field of fuel science. Special consideration is given to innovation and novelty in the use of fuels, characterization of fuels, and advances in fuel chemistry that benefit the public welfare or the environment.
